The Hemostatic Valve is a high-precision medical silicone valve specially developed for surgical and interventional medical devices requiring reliable hemostasis and fluid control. Manufactured from 20 Shore A medical grade silicone rubber, the material complies with ISO10993 biocompatibility standards, making it suitable for healthcare and medical device applications.
Unlike conventional slit valves or standard cross slit valves, this hemostatic valve adopts an advanced dual-side precision slitting structure. During production, both the front side and back side of the silicone membrane are punched separately. Each slit is controlled to a specific depth without fully penetrating the silicone wall. The two partial-depth slits intersect precisely at the center, forming an internal cross-shaped sealing structure.
This manufacturing process requires extremely accurate positioning and depth control. Even slight deviations during punching may affect sealing performance, opening pressure, and blood leakage resistance. After years of continuous engineering development and process optimization, HOPEWELL has successfully overcome the technical challenges associated with dual-side precision slitting and achieved stable mass production capability for medical hemostatic valves.
The specially engineered slit structure provides excellent self-sealing performance while allowing surgical instruments, guidewires, or catheters to pass through smoothly. The valve helps minimize blood backflow and fluid leakage during minimally invasive surgical procedures, improving both operational safety and device reliability.
Produced through precision compression molding and strict quality control procedures, the valve offers consistent dimensions, excellent elasticity, reliable resealing capability, and long-term stability. Different slit dimensions, membrane thicknesses, hardness levels, and valve geometries can be customized according to customer device requirements.
With extensive experience in custom silicone valve manufacturing for medical and healthcare industries, HOPEWELL supports OEM and custom development projects for disposable medical devices, surgical systems, diagnostic equipment, and fluid management applications.

Surgical Interventional Devices:
Hemostatic valves are widely used in minimally invasive surgical systems where instruments need to repeatedly pass through a sealed access port while minimizing blood leakage and air intrusion.
Catheter and Guidewire Systems:
The valve allows smooth insertion and withdrawal of catheters, guidewires, and surgical tools while maintaining reliable sealing performance throughout medical procedures.
Disposable Medical Devices:
Due to the excellent flexibility and biocompatibility of medical silicone, the valve is suitable for single-use medical consumables requiring stable sealing and hygienic performance.
Blood Flow Prevention Systems:
The precision cross-slit structure helps effectively reduce blood backflow during surgical operations, improving procedural safety and maintaining controlled fluid management.
Customized Healthcare Equipment:
HOPEWELL provides customized silicone hemostatic valve solutions for medical device manufacturers developing specialized healthcare and diagnostic equipment.
A hemostatic valve is a medical silicone sealing component designed to prevent blood leakage or backflow during surgical and interventional procedures while allowing medical instruments to pass through the valve opening.
This valve uses a unique dual-side partial-depth slitting process. Both sides of the silicone membrane are punched separately to create a highly precise internal cross structure without fully cutting through the membrane from either side. This provides superior sealing and resealing performance.
The manufacturing difficulty mainly comes from the extremely high positioning accuracy required. The front and back slits must align precisely at the center while maintaining controlled cutting depth on each side.
The valve is commonly used in surgical access systems, catheter devices, minimally invasive instruments, blood management systems, and various disposable medical devices.
